Walking For Change is a program for the entire family that wants to start walking and making small changes that can lead to large changes in their life.  Walking is one of the best and least expensive exercises you can do.  It cost nothing and you can enjoy this family time.  The Clay County Cooperative Extension Service is sponsoring the program from March 26th – June 3rd.  You will need to walk for 30 minutes at least 3-5 times per week for three months. You will receive calendars for you to record your walking time.  Calendars need to be returned to the Extension Office every 2 weeks.  Families that turn in calendars for 4 weeks will be put in a drawing for a Walmart gift card.  You can drop them off, e-mail them or mail them to the Clay County Extension Office, PO Box 421, Manchester, KY 40962.  Also, you will receive via e-mail or handouts on “Small Steps to Health and Wealth” every two weeks for three months.  You must return 3 logs (calendars) to receive a t-shirt (halfway through the program) that you can wear for the rest of the program while you walk.  Program registration is $10.00.   Please fill out the following form and return to the Clay County Extension Office at the above address.  Registration deadline is March 24th.  Call 598-2789 for more information. This is a good follow-up for the Couch Potato Challenge          participants.
