Applications for the 2018-19 Program Year are now available on the NRESci website.

If you are new to the NRESci program, information about the program is available on the public website. The Academy is a 3-year program. 4-H’er members who enroll are expected to attend a Fall Retreat and three 1-day events each year, and participate in a community service project. During their first year, 4-H’ers will focus on water, during their second year forestry, and third year wildlife. Graduates of the Academy can apply to be on the NRESci Ambassador Board.

Applicants may be in the 5th, 6th, or 7th grade at the time of application (however note change highlighted for next year). **Starting in PY 2019-2020, we will only accept applicants in the 5th grade.    

4-H Natural Resources Fall Retreat is September 26th-28th: in Jabez, KY. If you are in 5th or 6th grade and are interested in learning about wildlife, forestry and water, please contact the Clay County Extension Office for more information on how to apply to the program.
